Refusing to obey, TJ defeated the robot and was thus punished by having his secrets exposed to the public. TJ used his new augmentations to win the title back, and when Ultratech came to collect the debt, they asked him to throw a fight against their new cybernetic warrior, the Mark 01 Fulgore. TJ sold himself, becoming subject to various experiments, including titanium shafts implanted into his forearms. He was approached by Ultratech and offered the chance be part of a program to create superhuman athletes. His manager fled, leaving him in debt and depression. ![]() But he was overwhelmed by the fame and the money, which made him abuse his body and be lazy in his training, and three years later he lost the title. In the next five years he worked out his body, studied hard the art of boxing and started winning fights, becoming famous for his combinations of blows, and after five more years, he finally won the Heavyweight Championship. His life became a series of failures, and he found a job in a local gym to pay his training. However, he couldn't resist the temptation of cheating, and was eventually expelled from the league. Born from a poor family, TJ was trained in boxing by his father since a young age. TJ Combo, is a playable character in Killer Instinct (2013).
